Well few days back my mom started a very small business of selling ladies garments mostly salwar suits, as she really got bored of her day to day life and most important she didn’t had any new gossips to share.......so she is making best utilization of her hobby i.e. SHOPPING...........
And i should say she is best in BARGAINING.........
Well like other good child i was ready to help her in "utilization of her hobby"...................... my sister in law.......is also helping her to setting up her business
i came to my hometown for diwali ................and a group of ladies came to my home for the purchasing
a lady B took 8 suits in 2.5 hrs and said that she will choose at least 6 of them........but at her home.........my mom agreed to give her(as lady B was a friend of my mom) other day she came and returned 7 of them and said that her husband didn’t like them,...........well i was not surprised because my friend(who is a neighbor of lady B) told me...that lady B tried to sold those suits to my friends mom and other neighbors(obviously with extra profit)...................i didn’t told this my mom......because i didn’t want to abuse my friends mom and suggested my mom not to give suits to any one for home.........and she agreed.................
another day one more lady C came she like 2 suits and in the evening itself she made up her mind to return them..........she came and said to exchange one of them, mom agreed and at that time a girl came to my house for purchasing...........she liked that suit which LADY C wanted to return.............suddenly a change occurred and lady C didn’t wanted to exchange the suit..........this thing taught me to turn my moms business in a new direction..........well after a hot discussion between lady C and girl the suit was sold to lady C only and after that she took 3 more suits which was in the list of that girl...............after that the girl bought the very costly suit to show that she is far more better than lady C.............well whatever happened, my mom was very happy..................and regarding both the customers , they both looked each other as they would kill each other if they got chance......:."Really dramatic” well i enjoyed that drama
Talking about turning my mom business in to new direction---------
Whenever a lady came after that drama to my house for purchasing....i just use two things (golden rules)
1) You are looking younger (if she is old)
2) Aunty don’t take this, your neighbor/friend was asking for this type of suit........well if you insist me so much ok you take it
my mom didn’t understood it but she was happy with her sales increase
I did realized one thing LADIES can be very good customers you just have to analyzes the situation and follow the two golden rules
Selling anything to ladies can be more interesting if you are able to talk to her about the tv dramas(which is surely not my cup of tea) and if you have the ability of gossiping.........well i am very bad at gossiping.,..........but still i can just butter them by my golden rules
Selling suits to ladies is a difficult task but a real woman (like my mom) can complete that task
so friends if you have any rules apart from mine please do suggest them in order to increase my mom sales……..?????
